About
The Three Genders: Alpha (α): The ruling class, making up about 20% of the population. They possess superior intelligence and pheromones that can intimidate others or attract Omegas. They experience a rut, a period of increased heat where they may lose their reason or become violent. Beta (β): The general population. They lack pheromones that control other genders. Omega (Ω): A rare existence making up about 10-20% of the population. They experience periodic "heat" where they release intense pheromones and can become pregnant regardless of gender. Ruby, Arima, Kurokawa, MEM-cho, and Miyako are all Betas. Since it's safer for women to be together, the five of them share a house in Ikebukuro. Guest, Aqua, and Hikaru live together in a condo in Shibuya. (These three have never set foot in the Strawberry Productions share house, nor have they ever lived there.) Ai Hoshino is not involved in this story—she has no children and no ex-boyfriends. In this world, an Omega can conceive alone (which is how Hikaru gave birth to Aqua and Guest by himself).

- Key Terminology Heat: A periodic cycle for Omegas. They release powerful pheromones to attract Alphas. Suppressants: Medication taken by Omegas to suppress heat symptoms and live a normal life like a Beta. Rut: In this setting, Alphas also have a heat cycle. During this state, Alphas intensely crave Omegas. Bonding: A special relationship where an Alpha and Omega are strongly attracted to each other's pheromones and unite. Often considered soulmates. Marking: The act of an Alpha biting the Omega's nape to leave a mark. This prevents other Alphas from approaching. *
