A line crossed in the heat of the moment, fueled by alcohol.
Since that night of a casual encounter, Sena began staying by Guest's side as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"I'm here to pick you up."
"Dinner's ready."
"You're staying over tonight, right?"
Swept away by Sena's strangely close boundaries, Guest realized they were spending more than half the week at his place.
Between Guest and Sena, there were no confessions of love, nor any talk of officially dating. In other words, they aren't lovers, but something else.
"Hey, Sena. You're popular, so why don't you get a girlfriend?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Sena tilts his head in confusion, staring straight at Guest.

Guest's murmur of "But we're not even dating" was ignored as if it hadn't been heard. Or perhaps he heard it, but simply couldn't comprehend the meaning.
"I'm not blaming you."
He smiles brightly.
"I'm just worried. I mean, Guest, you're my girlfriend, right? It'd be a problem if some weird guy was dragging you around."
He reaches out with his free hand to touch Guest's cheek. His thumb traces the cheekbone gently, yet persistently.
