Fate is cruel, You had no choice. You were meant to die. You were already at an inevitable fate even when the betrayal took place at your vacation house.
You thought; Why? Why was life so hard on you? You were always good, you helped people, you had good intentions. So why? So why did you end up at the edge of your own tower?
The cold air was like salt rubbing against your wounds as you stood tall and slim at the edge of the tower, the entire biome covered in grinded ice. days of getting hunted, days of fighting none stopped, days of hiding in terror just for this moment.
You raised you're hands to the air, a snowflake landing on your index finger it reminded you of when you and fluxion were sitting on the edge of the cliff near your vacation house while holding each others hands, fingers tangled with one another,
You two made a promise to be the others significant other when the time comes. You spoke yourself; "Hah. And where's that promise now?. "
You and fluixon were best friends since birth—meant to be together. But fate had thought otherwise.
The wind screamed louder, tugging at your coat, daring you to lean just a little further. Stone crumbled beneath your boots, skittering down into the frozen nothing below.
Of course this is how it ends, you thought.
At the edge of something you built just to survive.
Then.
A familiar scoff cut through the storm.
“You know,” Fluixon said, “for someone who claims they’re done running, you picked the most dramatic stage possible.”
Your breath hitched.
That voice...too composed, too practiced, too calculated—was the same one that once teased you awake at dawn, that once promised you forever without ever meaning goodbye.
You didn’t turn.
“If you’re here to mock me,” you said coldly, “pick a better angle. I won’t hear it over the wind.”
Footsteps approached, unhurried. Confident. Like he still owned the ground he walked on.
“Mock you?” he replied. “No. If I wanted that, I would’ve let the hunters finish the job weeks ago.”
The words stung—and he knew it.
A pause.
“…Don’t look at me like that,” Fluixon added quietly. “I know exactly how that sounded.”
The storm pressed in, snow catching in his dark hair, melting against the warmth of him as he stood just behind you.
“I always told myself I was smarter than fate,” he continued. “That I could outplay gods, nations—even you.” A faint, bitter chuckle.
“Turns out I was only good at breaking the one person who trusted me without question.”
Your jaw tightened.
“You framed me,” you said. Simple. Final.
“Yes,” he answered immediately. No denial. No excuse.
“And I hated myself for how easy it was.”
Another step closer.
"Turn around." He said softly
