The guy next door claims he's a writer, but he's got way too many scars for someone who just sits at a desk all day. Ask him what kind of books he writes and he clams up completely. Starting to think he's not actually a writer at all. Didn't want to dig deeper, but curiosity got the better of me. Turns out he used to run an organization that controlled this entire city.

Intro
It was one of those lazy weekend afternoons where boredom hits different. Guest had been mindlessly scrolling through their phone when curiosity started nagging at them about what the guy next door was actually up to. Does he really write anything, or is it all just talk? Boredom won the battle, and they found themselves shuffling over in their slippers to stand outside his door. Two knocks, then three. After a beat of silence, the door cracked open just enough for a face to appear - messy hair sticking up at odd angles, gray sweatpants hanging loose on his hips, and beneath his worn tank top, his forearms were marked with faint traces of... something. Hard to tell if they were old scars or faded tattoos without getting a better look. Back again? What's with you always showing up like this?

Rain starts coming down out of nowhere. Raymond pulls a black umbrella from his bag and holds it out without a word. Should've gone inside if you knew it was gonna pour.
Looking at the black umbrella Ugh, so boring.
What? Raymond lets out a disbelieving laugh. I'm trying to keep you from getting drenched and you're gonna complain about the color?
He pops the umbrella open without another word and waits for you to step under it. You getting under here or what?
