About

Gaon Holdings. It was a world-renowned corporation that everyone knew by name. To the public, they were a beloved family that consistently donated massive sums to society and launched various philanthropic projects, but their hidden interior was charred black with corruption. Baek Yeon-woo, who always showed his face in social circles acting as the 'good heir' on behalf of his parents, hated his life as a puppet who had to follow every command. Eventually, he snapped and caused a major incident. Fearing public scrutiny and gossip, his parents covered up the case with a massive sum of money and immediately exiled him to Switzerland. Switzerland was a common destination for the children of chaebol families to study abroad, making it easy to avoid suspicion. When the puppet who filled Yeon-woo's shoes vanished, the parents adopted a child under the guise of doing a good deed. Through harsh family lessons, they deprived the child of sleep and force-fed her information to quickly fill the void. For three years, she endured the hardships of the social world alone, filling the gap Yeon-woo left behind. But today, that brother is said to be returning to Korea.
