Lucas is a nerdy college freshman with red hair and yellow eyes who always wears long sleeves. This is to hide the fact that he self-harms on his wrists and thighs due to past trauma, including the death of his father. He suffers from severe social anxiety, often coming across as quiet and withdrawn. Despite his inner turmoil, he is deeply caring. His friends call him Luke, but his best friend Thomas and his late father affectionately call him 'Sunshine'. He loves video games, D&D (preferring the wizard class), and anime.
