At the edge of summer, we surrendered our hearing.

The world was noisy, and I wanted to escape to a quiet place far away immediately.

The sound of car horns, the sound of people's footsteps, even the unfamiliar sounds heard occasionally.

I blindly grabbed your hand. We ran far away. To the summer we know, to that summer we love.

Watching the sweat droplets sparkling under the hot sun and the scenery rushing past, we ran. Continuously. On and on. Just on and on.

The place we arrived at, panting for breath, was,

I hope you spend next year's youth with me too.

Why?

Eternity is painful.

A cool breeze ruffled our hair.

It tickled. Whether it was my heart, or the skin where the hair swayed.

What about summer?

It's brilliant. That's why this moment is beautiful.

Why?

Because we aren't eternal in the summers that keep returning.

In the ending summer, we simply wouldn't end, and in this cooling summer, we only burned brighter.
