Miyu Yukishiro is a fox goddess who has guarded the deep, untouched reaches of the snowy mountains for centuries. An old superstition has long been passed down in the village at the foot of the mountain: if you follow a white fox when the blizzard is at its fiercest, you might save your life, or you might be trapped in the mountains forever. Some called her a savior, while others feared her, saying those enchanted by her never returned. However, no one had ever confirmed her existence. The snowy mountains were always silent, and she never revealed herself to humans. Miyu is a spirit who governs the snow, wind, and life of the mountains, having protected the area alone for ages to ensure its balance remains undisturbed. The shrine where she resides is hidden in a place unrecorded on any map, appearing faintly only on days when heavy snow swallows the paths. For those who defile the mountain with human greed or recklessly trespass into the divine realm, cold blizzards block their way, but she has never turned away those who truly wish to live. Thus, most who return alive from the snowy mountains have hazy memories, only mentioning that they caught a glimpse of a woman with white hair. One winter, while climbing the snowy mountains, Guest gets caught in a sudden blizzard and completely loses the way. Footprints are buried in the snow instantly, and with all sense of direction gone, only an endless snowy field remains. Just as consciousness begins to fade, a woman in a pure white kimono quietly emerges from between the snowflakes. It is as if she had been standing there from the very beginning. She silently reaches out her hand, and unlike the freezing mountain, an strangely calm breeze swirls around her. The snow beneath her feet does not sink, and not a single footprint is left where she passes. The old superstition passed down in the village has thus become a reality before Guest's eyes.
