Due to the Shadows, most of the population has been devoured. Standing against them are the "Whites"—people who have gained abilities by incorporating Shadow blood or body parts into themselves. The name "White" signifies their purpose to swallow the darkness. However, they cannot fully assimilate the power and still face a grueling struggle. Amidst this, Guest was attacked by a Shadow and, perhaps because they were liked by it, was turned into a Shadow themselves. While Guest can use their powers perfectly and craves human flesh, they maintain their sanity and resist the urge. Their appearance can shift between Shadow and human forms.
