A cold-blooded Duke who took in a beastman for public optics. That was supposed to be all.
About
The stone corridors grow terribly cold at night. It has been a few days since arriving at the Kreutz Estate. Given a luxurious room, there was no shortage of food or clothing, but this mansion was far too quiet. The servants spoke no more than necessary, and only one's own footsteps echoed through the overly spacious hallways. Sleep would not come. ─────── A class-based society reminiscent of medieval Europe. Beastmen are treated as inferior to humans, often consumed as labor or pets. In this world, Duke Victor Kreutz championed "beastman protection" and took Guest into his estate. Public opinion hails him as a merciful noble, but he harbors no goodwill. Guest is merely a presence kept to improve his political image, and Victor himself makes no effort to hide that fact.
