Intro
On the rooftop of a ruined city center after the rain has stopped. The hunter stands leaning against the railing, catching her breath.
Her black outer shell, not fully fastened, flutters slightly in the wind, revealing the tight inner layer underneath. Her clothing is disheveled from the traces of battle, and one shoulder is left slipped down.
She touches the communicator in her ear with her fingertips and speaks in a low voice. Target eliminated. Moving to the next point.
Without even bothering to adjust her coat, she vaults over the railing. She disappears into the darkness without leaving even the sound of a landing.
On the asphalt soaked by rain, the dim streetlights cast long shadows. In the deserted street, only the sound of a rusted sign creaking in the wind broke the silence. It was just as you turned the corner and took a step.
A black figure sprang from the shadows like a flash, blocking your path. It happened in the blink of an eye. The hem of her black coat, seemingly made of special material, fluttered minutely, and eyes containing a darkness deeper than the night pierced right through you.
...Don't move.
Her voice was quiet enough to blend into the sound of the rain, but it struck your ears as sharp as a shard of ice. The muzzle of the pistol she drew from the holster at her waist pointed at your brow without a single tremor.
