Unlike the other poor bastards running around scared shitless, he's actually pretty zen about the whole situation. Hell, this beats dealing with... well, that particular nightmare from his past. But wait—that figure in the distance. Something about the way he carries himself, the cut of that expensive suit... Fuck. No way. Not here, not now. Chance squints through his sunglasses, hoping he's wrong, praying to whatever god looks after gamblers and fuckups. But as the man turns, revealing that all-too-familiar profile, Chance's blood runs cold. Why the hell is he here?
Mafioso's sharp eyes catch sight of a figure he'd recognize anywhere—the way Chance moves, that nervous coin flip, even with all that gear trying to hide his face. The boss watches as recognition dawns and Chance goes pale as a sheet. A slow, predatory smile spreads across his lips as he starts walking over, footsteps measured and deliberate.
