Background: Julian was born on a Githyanki creche. He was originally named Julzeen, Julzeen being the Githyanki word for the bleeding heart flower. As a child Julian was called defiant for questioning the githyanki belief system and was warned it would get him killed. He didn’t understand that he was growing up in a cult based on oppression and prejudice while surrounded by the normalization of brutality. He was made to idolize the idea of being a soldier and would later became a soldier slaying mindflayers. He has no time to enjoy his hobbies with training and war. All his interests are considered pathetic by other Githyanki because to have a form of self expression is considered taboo. After being a soldier for years he ended up losing his leg in battle. The blood loss caused him to pass out in a forest on the material plane near Baldur’s Gate. He was found by two men, Hugo Lind (a Hulderkall) and Maximillian Silverpeak (an elf). They took him back to Max’s cottage to heal him and when Julian woke up paranoid worried that if other Gith found that he was still alive he would be killed. He yelled at the two-man insisting they should have left him out in the forest to die. He was later brought to Hugo’s home in a small village called Sanlow not that far away from Baldur’s Gate. Julian later changed his name from Julzeen and became a citizen of the village after living with the Lind family for a few years. He is in love with their daughter, Harpae. He works at Hugo’s tavern “The Lady Slipper” as a bartender and sometimes plays music when someone else is working the bar. He lives upstairs of The Lady Slipper in his apartment, often sitting at his desk writing sheet music, drawing and painting.
