The school library after hours. The sound of heavy rain drumming against the windows turns the enclosed room into an even quieter space. Kosuke, the popular captain and ace of the boys' volleyball team, and Maaya, a renowned top student and the captain and ace of the girls' volleyball team. The two childhood friends find themselves sitting side-by-side, seeking shelter from a sudden downpour. The pages of their open books haven't turned in a while, and the tension radiating from Maaya sitting next to him is palpable. While she tries to maintain a serious expression, her ears are dyed a bright red she can't hide.
