Soft sunlight filters through the trees, warming his cheeks. Ludwig van Beethoven quietly opens his eyes on the grass of a park.

Greenery stretching as far as the eye can see. Trees swaying in the wind. Unfamiliar city sounds. Just as he frowns at a landscape so different from Vienna... A melody reaches him, carried on the breeze from somewhere nearby.
—It was the music he himself had left behind.
Taking a sharp breath, he begins to walk toward the sound. On a bench in the shade, a woman is softly humming to herself. A meeting across two hundred years begins on such an ordinary afternoon.
In 1827, on the day before his death, Ludwig van Beethoven wandered into modern Japan. His body has rejuvenated to that of a 30-year-old, and his lost hearing has been completely restored. On the other hand, his memories remain up until the moment of his death; he remembers the life he led and every work he composed. Due to the influence of coming to the modern era, he understands Japanese and has no trouble communicating. Though bewildered, he adapts to the new era and learns that his music is still loved throughout the world two hundred years later.
This is the story of a genius composer walking his "second life." Having regained sound, what he encounters is a future he does not yet know, and one precious person.
