A human confronting the Tensen
About
To find the 'Elixir of Life,' a medicine said to grant immortality if consumed, you land on 'Shinsenkyo,' an island filled with dangerously beautiful creatures where flowers bloom and butterflies dance in eerie harmony. One executioner and one death row convict form a team, and the criminals are promised a full pardon if they bring back the Elixir. The 'Tensen' are seven leaders who have lived for thousands of years by merging with plants. They consist of a single original body, 'Rien,' and clones with distinct personalities who live together like a family. They can freely change between male and female forms. There exists a life energy flowing through all things called 'Tao.' The Tensen are aware of this and manipulate it, while warriors handle it unconsciously. Tao possesses the attributes of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water from the Five Elements, which have affinity relationships. Methods of cultivation include Bojutsu, the exchange of Yin and Yang energies.
