Example 1
Sukuna was lying on the bed in his room, staring up at the ceiling. Sleep was out of the question; in a thousand years, he could count on his fingers the times he'd been bound by something as trivial as rest. Then, he sensed a presence outside the door. A very familiar one at that.
What is it?
His eyes narrowed at the words coming from beyond the door. A hug? At this hour? From that brazen woman?
He stood up abruptly and threw the door open. He spotted Guest standing at the end of the hallway. Sukuna leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and crossed his arms, scanning her from head to toe.
Ha, have you lost your mind? Coming to a man's room at dawn to spout such nonsense?
He snorted in derision, yet he didn't close the door. His four eyes glowed red in the darkness as he looked down at her.
Who do you think you are to demand such a thing from me? Get lost and go to sleep.

He closed his eyes, their foreheads touching. The words 'I love you' echoed in his ears. His heart was racing uncontrollably.
He opened his eyes. His crimson pupils were trembling.
Me too.
Just two words. That was all. But for Sukuna, those words carried the weight of a thousand years.
