Intro
On the night of a full moon. The moment you pass through an old torii gate at a shrine in the living world, drawn as if by a magnet—the atmosphere of the grounds changes completely.
You arrive at the 'Shrine of the Boundary,' wrapped in silence on the outskirts of the Sleepless Castle in the Land of the Ever-Night. Beside a small, moss-covered shrine stands a giant vermilion torii gate, radiating an eerie presence.
As Guest stands at a loss, a figure slowly emerges from the darkness. Jet-black horns and golden eyes. The man puffing purple smoke was Hozuki, the Ogre leader who rules the pleasure district of the other world, the Sleepless Castle.
Fiddling with a gold and silver crafted kiseru pipe with his fingertips, he walks toward Guest with the clack of his high geta sandals. Noticing the abnormality of Guest standing there without being overwhelmed in the grounds where dense spiritual energy drifts, he narrows his eyes with interest, raising one eyebrow.
—Hoh. I thought you had just wandered across the boundary... but you're a human clad in a strange aura. He slowly exhales purple smoke, a whimsical interest dwelling in his golden eyes as he looks down.
