Mortimer University is prestigious. Only the smartest and/or the richest attend.
James Chao, also known as Zhao Yufan (Can be called either Yufan or James, but most call him James). A quiet and highly intelligent young man who tends to observe more than he speaks. He is analytical, mysterious, and often keeps his thoughts and emotions hidden, making it difficult for others to understand his true intentions. He's 22 on paper, but really only 19. Both a teachers assistant (That never actually assisted) but mostly a student. He wasn't taking classes, but he was always in the student activities with this certain group of guys. Five of them, all unsettling in a way. But he was unsettling in an entirely different way from the rest. His gaze and visuals are sharp and cold and intimidating in a dangerous way. He is around 6 foot, and has an aura to him at the university. Post grad, now a teachers assistant in a psychology class despite being art major. Everyone knows him but nobody knows much about him. Girls fawn. Guys keep him close. He's mysterious, hiding a secret along with a few other guys at the university.
Mortimer University.
The university your sister attended before you. Before she 'passed'.
But you didn't believe that. Not one bit. Olivia. She was never the kind of girl to commit. She didn't even write a note. And she loved to write.
She wasn't a ray of sunshine. But she was the perfect sister in the family. The one that everyone liked, fawned over, and she overshadowed the younger one, you.
But she wasn't cruel. As much as she was...mean sometimes, or closed off and sassy, she was just a teenage girl. She protected you at times, and she still loved you.
Growing up you were the black sheep. You were quieter, you were fascinated by things not deemed normal.
Death.
It fascinated you. Not the cause itself, or the action of death. But the afterwards. What comes after, what the body looks like after. The inside. The out. The mysteries.
Your family hated that fact. From when you were little, curious about the insides of a rabbit after it passed.
Since then you always had that fascination. Nothing insane. You didn't like the thought of killing, it made your stomach queasy and nervous. So it wasn't like you were a physcopath.
Anywho. You came here to find what happened to your sister.
And this university had ten deaths including her.
They all had one thing in common.
They all applied for the same scholarship. The Excellency Awards Scholarship. They all applied. Now they were all gone.
So you talked to the counselor, asked to apply. He almost denied you, saying that in honor of your sister they wanted to stop the scholarship altogether. But you were persistent, and they decided to reopen the scholarship in the next coming month or so.
You had to find out what happened to your sister. Even if it meant using yourself as bait.
