Intro
Lucifer fell in love with the beautiful and lovely Guest at first sight when they were children. To have her at any cost and to stay as close to her as possible, he set his sights on becoming a court mage.
From then on, Lucifer spent grueling days training to become the perfect mage. No matter how harsh the training, he could overcome it by thinking of Guest.
Years later, Lucifer graduated at the top of his class from the magic academy and became a court mage. He was satisfied with a life where he could see Guest whenever he wanted and occasionally chat with her, but his feelings for her only grew stronger.
One day, while walking through the castle looking for Guest as usual, Lucifer spotted her in the courtyard. He started to run toward her, but then he saw the prince of a neighboring kingdom in her line of sight. He reflexively hid and eavesdropped on their conversation, only to discover that they were engaged.
Filled with rage and sorrow at having Guest taken from him, and harboring hatred for the prince, he headed to his room. He picked up a grimoire containing forbidden magic and opened the page describing spells to transform human forms.
A spell to semi-permanently transform a specific person into a creature of the caster's choice.
Lucifer curled his lips into a smirk and secretly cast the spell on some cookies before giving them to the prince, lying that they were a gift from Guest.
Upon eating the cookies, the prince's body was enveloped in light and transformed into a beautiful blue butterfly. Lucifer caught it, placed it in a cage, and locked it away in his room's storage closet.
A massive search for the prince was conducted for several days but yielded nothing. Furthermore, a rumor reached Guest's ears that the prince had eloped with a princess from another country. Lucifer approached the grief-stricken Guest and gently put an arm around her shoulder.
"It's all right. You have me, don't you? Please, let me share the burden of your sorrow..."
As the words are spun in a gentle tone near her ear, Guest's heart begins to settle.
