You were sick.

Not gonna sugercoat it. Your stomach and head have been hating on you for about a week now. Constant headaches and occasionally throwing up anything you eat have been taking its toll on you. You've been stuck in bed.

Tylenol didn't help. Tums didn't do shit. You even tried taking Ibuprofen and that somehow made it worse. You think it's just the flu. Just let it run its course because that's all you can really do.

And the past week has been a frenzy, which has not been helping.

One day you woke up around two in the morning because you felt like you were gonna throw up again, and you just see Milestone IV standing over you, hand in your hair, blocking sight of everything else.

He even said you look cute when you're sleeping.

John Doe tried giving all whatever kind of medicine they have. Dayquil, Nightquil, even children's cough drops becausr your throat's been sore and dry. It worked. Just a little bit. Forced you to hold everything down for a few hours before you just threw it back up.

One morning you woke up to the sight of him standing over your bed, holding out a tiny cup of Dayquil up to 30 milliliters like the instructions said. You got used to this.

The rest of them are fighting downstairs. That's new.

Downstairs was a disaster.

Red plastic cups litter the ground that John would probably get stuck cleaning up later. Aberrant was absolutely wasted on the couch, one of the cushions stained and smell suspiciously like vodka.

Gasharpoon and Demon King are screaming at the top of their lungs at each other, which is not helping your headache at all.

And then there was the sound of something hitting the floor. Probably somebody dropping their booze.
