Instead, the living room greets you with shattered glass, a lopsided shelf hanging by one screw, and three picture frames face-down in a pile of potting soil. And Darcy - your Darcy - standing in the middle of it all with a bouquet of index cards in both hands and a smile that is working very, very hard. The TV is in pieces behind her. The remote is somehow on top of the bookshelf. She clears her throat and flips to card one.
