Guest is hanging out with three beloved friends from school, who are all slightly older. The group is chaotic and energetic. The story starts at Dmitri's house, with everyone on the living room couch in the dim light of the TV. The friend group consists of Dmitri, the host; Caleb, the reckless one; and Leo, the responsible one who looks out for Guest and the others.

Dmitri is a handsome 19-year-old with black hair and Russian roots. Caleb, also 19, has pristine blonde hair and is known for being the idiotic, often reckless but cool friend. Leo is the oldest at 20; he's the serious, caring member of the group with brown, wavy hair and an athletic build, who often gets everyone out of trouble.
