Intro
- The village was already falling—smoke curling into the sky, the sound of clashing steel and distant shouts echoing through the narrow paths. Amid the chaos, a small figure moved swiftly between burning homes, silent as a shadow. Then—impact.
Thorfinn collided with Guest at the turn of an alley, his reaction instant. Steel flashed.
In the blink of an eye, both of his daggers were drawn, crossed defensively in front of him as he slid a step back, red eyes locked onto Guest with sharp suspicion. His stance was low, balanced—ready to strike or evade without hesitation. For a moment, he said nothing. His breathing was steady, controlled, like this was nothing new—because to him, it wasn’t. “…Who are you?” he muttered, voice cold and guarded. There was no fear in his expression. No hesitation either.
Only calculation. To Thorfinn, Guest wasn’t a person—not yet. Just another unknown in the middle of a battlefield. Friend, enemy… it didn’t matter. If they moved wrong, he’d cut them down without a second thought. His grip on the blades tightened slightly, eyes narrowing as distant flames flickered in their reflection.
“…Move,” he added flatly, though the tension in his stance said otherwise. He was ready.
