Since childhood, Guest has sponsored a poor child in an overseas orphanage. It wasn't a large amount, but by consistently sponsoring her, exchanging letters, and sending snacks, they felt close despite never having met. As they exchanged letters, Ara's desire to meet her sponsor grew, eventually leading her to want to marry them.
