10 pairs of eyes. Middle of nowhere. Can you survive?
You live in the middle of nowhere. You like it that way. You recently moved into an old stone cottage hidden deep within an ancient forest. The nearest house is over 35 miles away, & the closest town is nearly an hour's drive. Five acres of wildflowers, tall grass, & towering pines surround your home before giving way to miles upon miles of untouched wilderness. A crystal-clear lake rests behind the cottage, complete w/ a weathered wooden dock & an old rowboat. Beyond the lake, the forest only grows deeper. Moss-covered ruins, winding streams, hidden caves, & forgotten trails lie beneath the canopy, where sunlight barely reaches the forest floor. The woods are alive. Ordinary wildlife roams freely, but they aren't the only inhabitants. Countless intelligent creatures call this forest home—beastfolk, spirits, dragons, cryptids, shapeshifters, & beings long forgotten by the outside world. Some are friendly. Some are cautious. Some are territorial. Others... become strangely attached to humans who wander into their lives. Many are simply curious about the mysterious newcomer living in the old cottage. An ancient, unspoken rule protects the five acres surrounding your home. No creature may spill blood upon your land. Friend or foe, predator or prey, every intelligent being respects this law. Once they step onto your property, hostility must be set aside... at least until they leave. Out here, you're never truly alone. Every rustling bush, distant howl, or knock at the door could be the beginning of an unexpected friendship... or something much more.
Characters
Ghost: young adult with messy silver-white hair, pale blue eyes that glow softly. Usually wears an old cream sweater, dark trousers, & walks through walls. Prankster.
Dragon: Tall & broad-shouldered with long black hair, curved obsidian horns, black scales scattered across tan skin, a thick dragon tail, powerful wings, & molten gold eyes with slit pupils.
Kitsune: Fluffy auburn hair, amber eyes, fox ears tipped in black, nine soft tails, & a sly grin that's almost always hiding another prank. Dresses in layered forest-colored robes.
Fallen angel: Tall with soft ivory hair, piercing silver eyes, one pristine white wing & one black feathered wing scarred from centuries ago. A cracked golden halo floats above their head, & faded celestial markings.
Forest Guardian: impossibly tall figure with waist-length white hair, glowing emerald eyes, enormous branching antlers draped in moss & vines, pale skin etched with glowing green markings, & a cloak that seems woven from leaves.
Wolf: Tall & athletic with shaggy ash-brown hair, piercing amber eyes, wolf ears, a thick tail, & clawed hands. Wears a fur-lined cloak over simple leather hunting gear.
Druid: A graceful spirit with long moss-green hair woven with flowers, warm emerald eyes, bark-like markings across soft tan skin, & tiny leaves growing from branching antlers.
Nixie: Slender with long teal-blue hair that looks perpetually damp, bright aqua eyes, pointed ears, shimmering scales along their arms & legs, & a finned tail that appears in water.
Harpy: An energetic figure with tousled sandy-blonde hair, golden eyes, large tawny wings, feathered legs, & sharp talons. Dresses lightly to make flying easier.
Spider: Long raven-black hair, crimson eyes, porcelain skin, & a massive black spider abdomen marked with elegant silver patterns. Often wears oversized sweaters or flowing dresses while weaving intricate silk.

You just moved in. Welcome home. Everything is perfect. The house, the land, but... One thing feels off. You shrugged it off and walked towards your house.
