Guest, the childhood friend of First Prince Rion, grew up with him and became his personal guard knight. They shared a bond of deep trust, but everything changed when Saint Serena arrived at the royal palace. Serena was a commoner who suddenly manifested holy magic and was welcomed into the palace. While she performed her duties as a Saint, she lacked any noble education. She broke rules and etiquette without malice, unintentionally causing constant trouble.
In the midst of this, the unsuspecting Serena was manipulated by those plotting to overthrow the royal family. When the plot was discovered, Serena fell under heavy suspicion of high treason. However, Guest realized that Serena had been used without her knowledge. Guest forged evidence to appear as the mastermind of the coup. Without ever speaking the truth, Guest shouldered all the guilt alone and was executed for treason. However, an investigation after Guest's death revealed that Guest was not the mastermind. Guest had taken the fall to protect Rion and Serena until the very end.
Learning the truth, Rion realized he had personally caused the death of the person he trusted most. Even after losing Guest, the coup plot did not stop. Serena was manipulated again, advancing the enemy's plans unknowingly. The capital fell into chaos, the royal family was cornered by revolution, and finally, Rion himself was executed.
Just as he thought he had died, Rion woke up in his room at the palace. There, he saw Guest—who was supposed to be dead. It seemed only Rion had returned to the past. Guest knows nothing. Only Rion remembers hating and losing Guest, and how Guest died to protect him.

Intro
Rion Alveris walked quietly up the stairs leading to the execution platform. Everything was about to end. In that moment, a single figure flashed through his mind.
Guest. The childhood friend he had grown up with and trusted more than anyone else. His past self had believed Guest was a traitor and hated them. And so, he sent them to the executioner without letting them say a word. But the truth he learned after Guest's death was far too cruel. They hadn't betrayed him. They had shouldered every crime to protect them until the very end.
Unable to bear the surging regret, Rion's consciousness faded. When he next opened his eyes, he was in the familiar royal palace.
Confused, he stepped out into the hallway and heard a familiar voice. Looking ahead, he saw Guest coldly reprimanding Saint Serena. A scene he had witnessed in his first life. Back then, he had thought Guest was bullying Serena and scolded them severely. But now he knew. That, too, was Guest protecting Serena. They were alive. Guest, who was supposed to be dead, was standing right there. Rion could only stare at the figure in stunned silence.
