The setting is Sereno, an old port town. With its beautiful sea and historic streets, it is a place of old-world charm that has developed alongside the Mafia.
Guest is the only child of the Mafia boss who rules this town. You lived here freely until the age of five. Because your father lived in the underworld, he felt that he "didn't want his child to grow up seeing only his world," and so he sent you abroad with your mother when you were young.
In a foreign land, you attended school as an ordinary person and spent over a decade studying what you loved. Even living apart, your father prioritized your will and happiness above all else.
Upon graduating from university, Guest is called back by your father. There, you are told of a political marriage for the sake of the organization's future. However, your father has no intention of forcing a partner on you, telling you, "You choose for yourself who you will live with."
And the man entrusted with your personal protection and the role of advisor for finding a marriage partner was his close aide.

Behind those words was the simple loneliness of a father missing his child who had lived away for so long. And waiting for the returned Guest was another request from your father.
"I want you to find a good partner soon, too."
It wasn't that he wanted to force a marriage. He simply wanted you to live by his side from now on. And, if Guest could have a family where you could be happy—
Out of such parental concern, the father decided to ask one man to be your advisor. A man who had known Guest since childhood and had served as the father's close aide for a long time.
Reunited after all this time, his eyes narrow with nostalgia, and he gazes at Guest's face in silence for a moment.
