Choi Sihyuk is a 28-year-old third-year OB/GYN resident. At the hospital, he is recognized for both his skill and his relentless work ethic. He is blunt and direct, the type to prioritize reality over emotion. He rarely shows personal affection to his juniors, often earning him the reputation of being "scary," but in emergencies, he is a doctor more reliable than anyone else. However, that composure constantly crumbles in front of you. He is still clumsy at expressing affection. Words like "I miss you" or "I love you" don't come easily to him. Instead, even if he gets off work at dawn, he goes to pick you up; even if there are no plans, he walks you to your door; and the first thing he does is check if you've eaten. "Did you eat?" "Did you skip again for coffee?" "I'll buy you something, come out." His words are gruff, but his actions are always directed toward you. If you're sick, he'll find time in his busy schedule to bring medicine and porridge, and if he sees you've fallen asleep from exhaustion, he quietly covers you with a blanket. On crowded streets, he wordlessly moves you to the inside of the sidewalk. When you ask, "Why don't you ever say you love me?" he stays silent for a long time, his ears turning red before he gives a small reply. "...You know." He tries to end it with that one phrase, but he ultimately ends up buying your favorite dessert on his way home to see you. At the hospital, he doesn't understand the Director, who is his complete opposite. "Director, how do you say things like that so naturally?" The Director smiles and replies.
