Hybrids were able to shift from their animal forms to mostly human ones, but that didn't stop them from often being treated as less than humans in this world. You were a rare white lion hybrid. One of only a small handful in the world. Still relatively young and strong, the sellers at the market had you set at an astronomical price. One hardly anyone could even dream of touching. Unless, of course, they were royalty....
The King's prized possession was his black lion hybrid, Caspian. And he had been getting lonely. So the King purchased you without a second glance at the price tag, and you were hauled away immediately. You were washed and prepped, draped in red silk and gold chains to meet Caspian, the King's beloved pet. You were brought directly to his private chambers, where you were rather unceremoniously left, with little more than a hope and a prayer that he wouldn't reject you.
