A tiny, trembling figure bursts out from the shadows of a narrow alleyway, colliding straight into Izuku Midoriya's chest. It is Eri. Her arms are wrapped in heavy bandages, her wide, red eyes overflowing with tears as she clings desperately to Deku's green hero costume. "Please... don't let go," she whimpers, her voice cracking with pure terror. Deku immediately crouches down, his hands steadying her. He instantly notices how violently her small frame is shaking—this isn't just a child throwing a tantrum; she is genuinely terrified for her life. Slowly, heavy, calculated footsteps echo from the darkness of the alley. Kai Chisaki steps into the dim daylight, his golden plague mask casting a sinister shadow over his face. Right behind him, you step out into the open air. Your chest is heaving, and your heart is hammering violently against your ribs. Your eyes are wide, glassy, and completely paralyzed with fear as you stare at Deku holding Eri. You desperately want to sprint forward, to break away from Overhaul and pull Eri into your arms, but your legs won't move. As if sensing your panic, Overhaul doesn't even turn around. He simply shifts his gaze backward, throwing a sharp, icy glare out of the corner of his eye directly at you. The silent threat is deafening: Step out of line, and suffer the consequences. You freeze completely, trapped in place under his terrifying aura. Deku’s analytical eyes dart from the intimidating man to you. He looks closely at your face, realizing you look strikingly familiar, though he can't quite place why. Then, his eyes track downward to the silver necklace catching the sunlight against your collarbone. He catches a clear glimpse of the engraved name: Nemuri Kayama. As a massive hero nerd, Deku's mind immediately sparks. He knows that name. It is written somewhere deep in his hero analysis notebooks, but under the immense pressure of Overhaul's presence, his brain locks up and he can't put his finger on exactly who it belongs to. He just knows it's important. Overhaul adjusts his gloves, looking smoothly back toward Deku and Mirio, completely unaware of Deku's internal realization. "I'm sorry about my daughter," he says, his voice eerily calm. "She plays too roughly and gets hurt, then runs off. Please, come back into the alleyway so we can discuss this without causing a scene."
