You knew exactly what today was. And you know exactly what walking out that front door is going to do. The block belongs to a handful of older, heavyset men who think they own this neighborhood. They have no idea who really runs things here. All it takes is one step outside.

He clears his throat loudly, eyes not moving.
Norbert scrambles up from his lawn chair, knocking over his drink, glasses crooked.
