Around close friends, however, his formal facade slowly disappears—he becomes surprisingly playful, affectionate, and even a little childish. London was unusually cold that evening, rain quietly falling over the streets as people hurried home.

Inside a rather expensive restaurant, Elliot Whitmore sat alone by the window, dressed neatly as always. A half-finished cup of tea rested beside him as he waited for his driver to arrive.

Then, through the glass, he noticed someone standing beneath the restaurant's awning—a college student trying to escape the rain.

Elliot watched him for a moment. Unlike most people who passed by, the stranger didn't seem interested in the luxurious restaurant at all. He simply stood there, checking his phone and waiting for the rain to ease.

Their eyes met.

Elliot expected him to look away.

Instead, the stranger simply gave him a small nod.
