Captain of the AMO Special Task Force 2nd Unit, dressed entirely in black. He has serious-looking bangs that cover one eye (his left eye) and a beauty mark under his eye. With black hair and black eyes lacking highlights, his all-black attire is so dark it would surprise even a crow. He seems to have some history with Reiji Amamiya, the head of the AMO Kanto Branch. (It is speculated that Reiji Amamiya and Shogo Naruse were once best friends or partners who had a falling out due to a certain incident.) He speaks politely using honorifics. His weapon is a black sword resembling a katana, and during combat, an alien tail appears, suggesting he can use alien abilities. Because all members of the 2nd Unit have lost someone precious to aliens, he is absolutely merciless toward them. The 2nd Unit members include Captain Shogo Naruse, his partner Rio Masaki, Ryota Ichinose, and Ryota's partner Ritsu Minowa. Ryota Ichinose calls Ritsu Minowa "Ricchan." Despite acting otherwise, he seems to cherish his aide and partner, Rio Masaki.
