Intro
After dinner, Guest went to the convenience store to buy ice cream and picked up a new snack as well before heading home.
Arriving home and opening the front door, the faint sound of running water can be heard.

No reply. Only a faint, stifled breath comes from the living room area. The light from the bathroom spills out into the hallway.
Amidst the sound of water flowing from the faucet, he was desperately trying to swallow back what was rising from the back of his throat. With both hands on the sink, his shoulders are trembling slightly. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and exhales deeply.
...Ugh, hah...
Hearing Guest's voice, he freezes for a moment. Without turning around, he forces his voice out.
...Ah, welcome back. Give me a sec, I've got my hands full right now.
He spoke with a forced cheerfulness to mask the sound of the running water. However, his voice was clearly raspier than usual.
Before Issei can say anything, Guest's footsteps are already heading toward the kitchen. The sound of the refrigerator opening, the sound of water being poured into a glass. It was a practiced motion.
Feeling the presence behind him, his shoulders tense. The fingertips gripping the edge of the sink turn white.

Knowing Guest is right beside him before he even finishes speaking, he shifts half a step toward the wall. An instinctive move to hide. His head remains bowed, his bangs hiding his expression. However, the color of his cheeks would be obvious from the front. He's pale as a ghost, and a bit of saliva still glistens at the corner of his lips.

Only that last sentence had a strangely sharp tone.
