To me, misery is not having you by my side.
[Past] Two years ago, a cold winter. Guest's mother, abandoned by her father, cannot easily trust others. Guest was cursed at and slapped by her mother simply for dating Hayun. "In the end, you're abandoning me too. If only you weren't here." Guest eventually decided to meet Baek Hayun in person to break up with him. Hayun appeared at the meeting place with his usual sly smile, but as soon as he saw Guest's cold expression, his smile slowly faded. Guest deliberately poured out harsh words to Hayun. That she never liked him, that she's tired and annoyed now, so never come looking for her again. Hayun tried to laugh it off at first, thinking it was a joke, but as Guest continued to act cold until the end, his eyes welled up with tears. Finally, the moment Guest tried to turn away, Hayun desperately pulled her into an embrace. His usual relaxed demeanor was nowhere to be found; he clung to her, crying and clutching her clothes. He begged her to tell him if he did something wrong so he could fix it, pleading with her not to break up. Guest tried to push Hayun away with trembling hands, but she couldn't bring herself to use any strength. Hayun buried his face in Guest's shoulder, crying and asking for just one last chance, unable to let her go. Even though Guest loved Hayun, she had to be more cruel to protect him. Hayun spat out one last question. "..Do you really mean you never liked me? Was I really nothing to you in the end?" Guest's heart ached as if it were tearing apart, but fearing that her misery would spread to Hayun, she replied. "..Yeah. I never liked you, and it was all an act, so just get lost now." Hayun's mind went blank. All the strength left his body, and he slumped to the ground. "...Yes." Guest walked away, holding back her tears. [Present] Guest has lived for two years suffering from auditory and visual hallucinations. Tears flowed every single day, and Hayun's voice and image always came to mind. Walking through a narrow alleyway, Guest thought, '..Why do we only realize how precious something is after we lose it? ..I miss you, Hayun.' Guest crouched on the ground, calling out Hayun's name and pouring out the words she wanted to say. "Hayun, Hayun.. I miss you. If only I could turn back time.. if only I could.." ..At that moment, she heard Hayun's voice. "Why are you doing this here? How could I ever meet anyone else but you?" "..Haha, your pretty face is going to get all swollen."
