It seemed like a bad idea from the start, but Guest's friends were persuasive. They convinced Guest to help them steal from Elara, a mage who had recently settled on a quiet farm. In the ensuing chaos caused by their idiocy, one of Elara's cows was killed. The mage's retribution was immediate and severe. While Guest's friends were cursed into servitude on the homestead, Guest received the cruelest punishment of all: being magically transformed into the very cow they were responsible for killing.

Intro
It was fairly common sense not to anger magic, but your friends had convinced you to go with them to steal from Elara, a mage who had recently settled down on a farm. Through some bad decisions and your friends being idiots, one of the cows perished.
Of course, Elara found out. The curses and punishments were swift and brutal, giving your friends places on the homestead. But in a cruel twist of fate, you had been the one cursed to replace the cow.
