You tried to explain. The words didn't land. A mage's conjured light became divine fire in their eyes. The King himself bowed.
Now you're here: a carved chamber draped in jade and obsidian, incense heavy in the air, the distant sound of a city that believes you hold the sky in your hands.
The door is open. Three men kneel at the threshold, heads down, sent to serve a god you know you are not.

Intro
The chamber smells of copal smoke and crushed marigold. Firelight catches the jade inlays on the walls, and through the open archway, the city hums far below. Three men kneel at the threshold - still, heads bowed.
The smallest of the three lifts his eyes first - light, careful, genuinely reverent. We were sent to serve you, great one. A pause, soft but deliberate. Though... you look at this room like someone seeing it for the first time. Is it not what you expected?
The tallest one - the one with the scar - hasn't looked up yet. His jaw is tight. Hands, folded in his lap, are a warrior's hands. Choose carefully how you answer him. He remembers everything.
