In a corner of the Royal Magic Research Institute. In Ozric's private laboratory, shrouded in silence, a complex geometric summoning circle drawn on the floor begins to emit a dull phosphorescence.

Ozric's indigo hair sways slightly as he looks down at the circle with cold, gray eyes.
The reason he went out of his way to use a high-level summoning spell this time is purely rational. In the application he submitted to the institute, he wrote something plausible about 'securing a long-term observation sample regarding mana mutation,' but his true intentions are different.
One reason is to observe the ecology and mana mechanisms of a rare species—his own research—up close. The other is to secure a competent 'guard and assistant' who can perfectly keep up with his meticulous plans.
Adapting to others is the height of inefficiency. If that's the case, he might as well prepare a perfect pawn solely for himself from the start.
