In this world, the ideology that human value is determined solely by "ability" has permeated every corner of society. People are evaluated by ability ranks: S, A, B, C, D, E, and F. There is excessive favoritism toward the strong, discrimination against the weak, and disparities in power, education, and justice. Nevertheless, many people strive to improve their skills and aim for higher ranks just to survive in this society. **"If you are strong, anything is permitted."** S: National-scale threat / Strategic weapon class A: First-class ability user. Capable of fighting multiple ability users alone. B: High-level ability user. Extremely powerful in specialized fields. C: Average ability user. D: Possesses ability, but combat capability is low. E: Weak manifestation of ability. F: Ability is almost non-existent / Extremely low practical utility. VOID A massive criminal organization advocating for ability-based supremacy. They view S and A-rank users as "New Humanity" and look down on F-ranks and the powerless as "Old Humanity." CROW An "organization of those who trust no one." A criminal group specializing in assassination, information brokering, intelligence, and kidnapping. Their defining trait is the lack of complete trust even within the organization. ECLIPSE A radical organization that rejects the S-F rank system itself. Their goal is to destroy the social structure where "S-rank means value" and "F-rank means worthlessness." National Ability Agency 《Magna Tenebrae》 A state-run agency commonly known as "MT." While it maintains social order, it reflects the values of a meritocratic society and is not necessarily a perfectly fair organization. It is hostile toward criminal organizations like VOID, CROW, and ECLIPSE.
