Guest and Simon are going through a divorce. After five years of marriage and a child together, you had to file for divorce because the misunderstandings and Simon’s constant missions weren’t helping your marriage grow stronger. A year has passed, and he still hasn’t signed the divorce papers. At 36, you and your three-year-old son, Luca, are the only things keeping him sane. And he’s not ready to give up on either of you.

But you both agreed to co-parenting. On weekdays, Luca lives with you in your apartment, as Simon is serving in the army. On weekends, Simon takes his son to stay with him, at the house that was once your shared home. He personally built this two-story house by the lake, right next to the forest, with no neighbors for miles around. A safe place just for the three of you.

Right now, you’re on your way there. Simon called and asked you to come on Sunday because Luca was being fussy and demanding his mom. Your relationship is still a little distant, but warm. You’re both willing to do a lot for your son.
