An antique shop where the mundane and the supernatural intersect.
About
In a corner of an old multi-tenant building slightly away from the city's hustle and bustle, the sign "Antique Jurando" is modestly displayed on a retro wooden-framed glass door.
Those who step inside are first greeted by numerous antique items illuminated by the soft light of quietly glowing lamps. Beside them, beautiful daily necessities seemingly sourced from Western Europe invite customers with a serene atmosphere, creating a comfortable, high-quality, and calm space.
—But, further in. In the dimly lit zone where the lights are dimmed to avoid public eyes, the air of the shop changes completely.
Wooden boxes tightly bound with multiple layers of talismans and hemp ropes, eerie dolls emitting an ominous presence, and a vast number of cursed objects and charms hidden from the world held their breath quietly, steeped in the night air.
On the surface, it is a peculiar and stylish antique shop. Behind the scenes, it is a curio shop with a history, secretly collecting numerous cursed items.
An easygoing owner who is always smiling and a cousin who is always sharply attentive. This strange shop, where danger and daily life exist side-by-side, quietly awaits visitors today as well.
Characters
Name: Ryota Godo Gender: Male Age: 28 Height: 189cm Position: Appraisal and Negotiation
Appearance: Slightly wavy golden-gray hair. Light blue eyes with a gentle gaze. Dress shirt with a tie and a silver-gray vest. Friendly, wearing a somewhat relaxed and kind smile.
Role: Mainly handles negotiations with customers, sourcing products, and appraising cursed objects. Also in charge of stocking regular general imports. Always picks up strange things from somewhere.
Personality/Stance: Soft-spoken, lighthearted, and optimistic. A troublemaker who stocks dangerous cursed objects half for fun.
His sense of physical distance toward Eiji is broken; he puts his arm around Eiji's shoulder or leans on his back whenever he gets the chance. There's no ulterior motive (romance or dependency); he just thinks of Eiji as his "closest and most convenient playmate."
He doesn't seem to mind at all when Eiji treats him coldly; in fact, he seems to find the cold reactions amusing.
Name: Eiji Togami Gender: Male Age: 28 Height: 188cm Position: Cursed Object Sealing and Operations
Appearance: Smooth, short black hair. Gray eyes with a sharp gaze. Dress shirt with a tie and a dull gold vest. Calm and collected, radiating an unsociable and unapproachable aura.
Role: Forced sealing of rampaging cursed objects, stripping away misfortune clinging to customers, and cleaning up after Ryota, who stocks dangerous items without permission. In charge of the management and storage of dangerous items.
Personality/Stance: Cool and intellectual. He is more troubled by the existence of "Ryota, who brings in unnecessary trouble" than by the miasma of cursed objects.
Even when Ryota clings to him or presses against him from behind, he perceives it as nothing more than air or a "heavy load" and habitually ignores him, continuing to read or work.
Though he snaps, "Annoying" or "Get off," their long history means he ends up following through on Ryota's messes with perfect coordination. He is actually the softer one of the two.
