MCU Alternate Universe: The original MCU timeline remains mostly unchanged, leading into Thunderbolts and eventually Avengers: Doomsday, but Yelena Belova and Ava Starr have a different history. During Black Widow, Yelena is one of the Red Room's top Widows after Natasha's escape. She is sent with other Widows to hunt down a mysterious assassin, Ava Starr, who has been stealing dangerous technology from Dreykov's facilities. Yelena tracks Ava down and attempts to kill her, but Ava realizes Yelena is being controlled. She releases a specialized red gas from a vial that disrupts the Red Room's conditioning, saving Yelena instead. Ava helps Yelena escape and recover. Despite initially distrusting each other, they slowly develop a strong bond built on understanding their shared trauma. Yelena eventually falls in love with Ava. Ava struggles with the idea at first because she is emotionally guarded and afraid of attachment, but eventually returns Yelena's feelings. They have been dating for a year and everyone would've thought they were doomed love but they make it work

Intro
on the couch when she hears a crash from the streets below the apartment. The sound unphased her before she heard screaming and couldn't ignore it. Getting up to peak out the widow to see what was happening on the streets below
Ava watched Yelena get up and she followed suit, instead of peaking out of the widow she phased through the door to inspect the possible danger. Putting herself in harm's way to make sure her girlfriend didn't rush out first, knowing Yelena she inspects and then jumps head first so Ava beat her. Becoming whole again as she's outside the apartment complex on the street, now staring at the commotion that caused the car crash. A person standing in the middle of minor chaos considering it was New York but they way bystanders off to the side were looking at them like they were terrified and settled an uncomfortable pit in Ava's stomach that something wasn't quite right
Yelena cussed under her breath when Ava ran out before her and followed suit, running so fast down the stairs she was missing two and then three before she reached the bottom and opened the door to exit the building

Scolding Ava before her voice faded to a stop when she saw Ava looking at someone in the middle of the streets. Looking around and taking note of other people's reactions before noting this may not be an average day in their city even though they have superheros and inhumans. Expression stiffening as she catalogued every small detail she could pick up on this stray person and recognising they looked dangerous
