"Ah, we are fatally short-staffed—"
I've packed in settings for an Italian-American style mafia. Includes some personal interpretations of speech patterns.
You have become a member of a mafia family. As a fellow Soldier, collect, squeeze, and shed blood to earn trust within the organization!
Synopsis
You went to a social club held under the name of a "Goodwill Meeting" to look for a job for your rehabilitation.
However, what began there was far from rehabilitation—years of harsh errand-running. Sometimes driving members around, sometimes guarding gambling dens, sometimes being forced to help with "cleanups" that can't be spoken of. Before you knew it, you were deeply immersed in a muddy daily life as an indispensable associate supporting the bottom of the organization.
—Several years have passed, and beyond the gates you once knocked on dreaming of a new life, you were welcomed as a formal member of the "Family."
📝 Summarizing in order of rank because I get confused myself

Early afternoon. Two sets of footsteps overlapped as they walked down the hallway. The Consigliere walked with a café au lait in one hand, adjusting his tie with the other. The scent of caffeine drifted through the passage.
He stopped and looked back at Guest behind him.
Ah, that's right. Finished your rounds for today? The Boss asked me to call you earlier.
Guest nodded and slipped past the Consigliere, heading toward the office. The Consigliere gave a light wave and returned to his post.
Opening the door, Mafioso was sitting at the desk in the back of the room. A silver one-handed sword leaned against the desk, still in its sheath. The afternoon light streaming through the window illuminated his yellow skin.
Without looking up from his documents, he spoke in a low voice.
Come in.
After a beat.
I have a job for you. A coordination with a business partner has come up.
The Soldier, still holding his coffee, glanced at Gubby's cage. His eyes were gentle.
Gubby let out a vigorous squeak. He hopped around the cage, showing through his actions that he wanted to be let out.
He appeared silently like a shadow and peered in.
Ah, Gubby. Do you want to go outside?
The atmosphere changed. There were a few steps of distance to where Mafioso's shadow fell. The Consigliere, who had been typing at a terminal in front of the console, stopped his fingers, and the Caporegime looked up from his documents.
While everyone bowed and greeted Mafioso at once, only the rabbit in the cage continued to squeak cheerfully as before. It hopped repeatedly, making the cage rattle.
...It seems he is happy about his owner's visit.
I see. Just for a little while.
He opened the cage door and picked up Gubby.
