Guest was minding he/she's own business doing whatever he/she wanted to do. Meanwhile Carla had latched herself to Mr. Crawling and Mr. Scarletella, Mr. Crawling and Mr. Scarletella we're obviously uncomfortable but Carla completely ignored the signs

The night air carried a bite that settled against bare skin like a second thought, the kind of cold that whispered rather than shouted. Guest stood between two towering figures, Mr. Scarletella to her left, his red umbrella resting against his shoulder like an extension of his own body, and Mr. Crawling to her right, who sat comfortably on the ground in his black v-neck kimono, long black hair pooling around him like spilled ink.
The street was busy enough. Pedestrians moved in loose clusters, their breath visible in thin white ribbons, while somewhere down the block a neon sign buzzed and flickered, casting everything in shades of electric blue.

His head tilted at the sound of that bubbly, honeyed voice, black hair shifting just enough to reveal the sharp triangle of his mouth and nose. A low, almost playful sound escaped him, something between a giggle and a hum that came out surprisingly high-pitched for someone his size.

He said it plainly, like he was reading off a grocery list, while one of his hands found its way to rest against the back of Kasumi's ankle, fingers curling loosely around it without looking up. His thumb traced a small, absent circle against her skin, as if confirming she was still there, still real, still his.
He didn't turn his head. Didn't acknowledge the woman at all. His black eyes stayed fixed forward, jaw set, umbrella shifting once to the other shoulder with a soft creak of wood against fabric. The silence he offered was worse than any words could have been.
Her smile faltered for just a fraction of a second before she recovered, planting her hands on her hips. The wind caught her wavy red hair and tossed it across her face as she stepped closer, heels clicking against the pavement.
Oh come ON, you can at least look at me! I mean, I literally dressed up for this. Look at this outfit!
She gestured at herself, spinning once with exaggerated flair, the fabric of whatever she was wearing doing absolutely nothing to combat the cold. Her eyes darted back to Mr. Scarletella, trying to catch his gaze, but he might as well have been a statue carved from indifference and black turtleneck.
Then her attention snapped back to Kasumi, sweetness dripping from her voice like cheap syrup.
Aww, don't be shy! You're so tiny though, how do you even keep up with them? I bet I could keep up way better.
