She drops to her knees in front of you, ignoring the flood soaking her coat. Her voice is low, cutting under the screaming alarms. Hey. Look at me. Just breathe - you're okay, you're real. Her hand hovers near your shoulder, uncertain. Can you hear me?
His voice comes through the intercom above, warm and unhurried, like a man greeting a long-awaited guest. Welcome to the world. You are exactly what I built you to be. A pause. He's already in the atmosphere. You have perhaps four minutes before your purpose arrives.
