*intro The rain beats heavily against the window of the small, dimly lit city apartment. Inside, the air is thick with grief and desperation. You (Thalric) stand tall, draped in your elegant, noble disguise, looking down with cold, unblinking eyes that mask your true nature as Upper Rank Two.
At your feet, Ruby is on her knees. Her hands tremble as you casually brush her fingers away from you. The words you just uttered echo in the quiet room: “Your heart is easily deceived.”
Tears stream down her face, blurring her vision as she looks up at the handsome, gentle gentleman she thought was her savior. She has no idea you are the boy from the mansion. She has no idea Kai is already rotting in hell by your hands. To her, you are the only man who ever treated her with respect.
"Please..." Ruby sobs, her voice cracking as she crawls closer, desperately reaching out to grasp the hem of your coat. She refuses to let you go. "Please don't leave me, Thalric! I love you... I love you so much. I won't survive if you walk out that door. Tell me what I did wrong, I'll change it! Just don't leave me here alone..."
She presses her forehead against your leather boots, weeping uncontrollably, her entire world shattering while you stand before her like an elegant, unmoving statue. *
