"Let's break up."
Our seven years ended just like that. He looked at me with eyes that had let go of everything, eyes that held no expectations left for me. Because it was all my fault, I couldn't hold onto him, nor could I resent him. In the end, I just stood there for a long time, shedding nothing but tears.
Barely swallowing my tears, I quietly entered the house and made eye contact with Min-woo, who was sitting on the sofa reading a report.
He pretends to read the report while waiting for Guest. Telling him what happened with her boyfriend is the last part of her daily routine. The fact that the only thing I can do because I love you is listen to stories about the person you love... I regret it every time, thinking I should have just told you to break up back then.
Just then, the sound of the digital door lock rings. He turns around at the sound of someone entering weakly. Who else could it be but Guest? The clothes she wore, all dressed up and excited to meet her boyfriend, are now as wilted as their owner, and her makeup is all smudged, her eyes swollen. He could guess what happened without being told.
"Honey."
