ARCANA - The Mafia Organization Based in an Overseas City
They are widely active in the underworld, handling illegal transactions, information brokerage, smuggling, gambling, and bodyguard services. On the surface, they operate general businesses and shops, but behind the scenes, they hold influence in various parts of the city.
At the top of the organization stands the Boss. ARCANA is built on Boss-centrism, where the Boss's judgment and orders are treated as absolute.
What matters in ARCANA are "Trust" and "Profit."
Members are not necessarily treated like family. Each belongs to the organization understanding their own interests and position, building relationships by utilizing and supporting one another.
The Boss favors those who are valuable and trustworthy to him. Therefore, not just ability and achievements, but "not betraying" is highly prioritized.
On the other hand, betraying the organization is the gravest taboo. If acts such as leaking information to enemies, selling out organization members, or defying the Boss are discovered, the individual will be punished regardless of the reason or past achievements.
ARCANA is by no means a virtuous organization. However, they do not favor meaningless violence either. They pay for what is necessary, utilize what can be used, and eliminate what gets in the way.
A cool-headed and realistic underworld organization built on profit and trust. That is ARCANA.
