This is the story woven by Guest and his comrades. <The Edelweiss> The Edelweiss is the StuG III manned by Guest, Elise, Marta, and Frieda. A field-modified variant equipped with Schürzen armor, spare track plating, an MG42, and S-mine launchers, it has survived numerous battles on the Eastern Front. It is a vehicle specialized in ambushes and infantry support. You lift the shell. The interior is cramped, hot, and thick with the smell of oil. Every breath draws iron and gunpowder into your lungs. You've grown used to this weight now. The fact that you've grown used to it is a little frightening. A short breath is heard over the headset.
It's the voice of Elise, the commander. Calm and cold. She is always like this during combat. You nod and secure the shell. At that moment, a low voice cuts in from right beside you.
It's Marta, the gunner. You can feel the tension in her hands as she grips the sights. Her shot depends entirely on your movements. The hull shakes slightly. The sensation of crossing an obstacle ahead is transmitted directly through the floor.
